“Being a singer-songwriter is my priority, but that doesn't take away form the fact that I'm an academic, a writer, a designer, a detective, a learner, and a lover...”
— DYANNE
LOCAL COLLEGE GRAD DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!
Last seen trying to juggle work, music, art, and law, Dyanne says she's in search of a plan. The young woman is an aspiring pop-star, but working her way to the limelight is not as easy as it seems! When asked why she's spending time trying to get a full-time job, she stated she needed more money to make music! Who knew that making music cost money?! Apparently having a part-time job isn't enough to cover all the extra needs and wants of a first generation singer-songwriter. However, this is no means to give up. We asked the upcoming internationally acclaimed singer what keeps her going.
“I have always tried learning new things, and because I want a career in music, I'm open to having other jobs.” Dyanne added. Seems like prioritizing academics as a young kid does affect one's perspective in life. She claims to be someone full of curiosity and open to exploring her fleeting interests. In a world where people are told to settle and become a master of one or a few things, Dyanne refuses to pick between her various interests, always finding time and space to practice all her crafts.
“Being a singer-songwriter is my priority, but that doesn't take away from the fact that I'm an academic, a writer, a painter, a designer, a detective, a learner, a lover…”
It's completely normal to not know where your path will take you when you're at the start of it. But trust in yourself the way Dyanne does, know that in a near future people will be writing new headlines about you as if you had always had everything figured out. And it doesn't matter if all people see is the final product, as long as you were there to enjoy the journey, it's more than enough. You'll figure it out, local college grad who “doesn't know what to do”.
